Last year, Quicken Loans launched our Charity Challenge, a friendly fundraising competition. We encouraged our team members to raise money for charities in Detroit, where we’re headquartered. Our team members raised over $700,000 for Detroit-based nonprofits in just a few weeks.
From November 27, 2017, to January 4, 2018, Quicken Loans team members, clients, family and friends are invited to help raise money in the Charity Challenge for charities in our four home cities: Detroit, Cleveland, Phoenix and Charlotte. We have six weeks to raise as much money as possible for these important organizations that are making a difference in our communities.
How to Give
Want to join in on the giving this holiday season and participate in the Charity Challenge? It’s simple! Head over to the Charity Challenge website and browse through the participating charities in each city. Once you find the charity you want to contribute to, make your donation.
Don’t forget to share it with your friends and family, too! During the Charity Challenge, you’ll have the ability to create fundraising teams, set fundraising goals and rally behind the causes you’re passionate about.
The charity in each city that raises the most donations by the end of the challenge will be awarded an additional cash prize from Quicken Loans. The cash prize ranges from $15,000 to $25,000, based on location. There will also be a second, third, fourth and fifth place winner in each city.
And 100% of the donations made to the Charity Challenge go straight to the nonprofits.
Aside from just donating, you can also raise money for your favorite charity with the bonus challenges.
Every week, there will be additional challenges you can participate in that earn the charities more money. Challenges vary based on the city but include bonus grants. For instance, the organization that raises the most money on Giving Tuesday receives an additional $2,000.
