Quicken Loans was named the 10 th best place to work in America by FORTUNE magazine today as part of its annual ranking of the “100 Best Companies to Work For.” The company has ranked in the top 30 of FORTUNE’s workplace analysis in each of the last 14 years.
What makes Quicken Loans special is its unique culture and the collaboration of its team members. An emphasis is placed on breaking down barriers and creating an environment where its 16,000-plus team members have a say and are empowered to make a difference for our clients.
“We are completely fanatical about creating an atmosphere that allows our team members to thrive, challenge assumptions and innovate. Our team members know we value their opinions, which creates passion and a sense of ownership in our business,” said Quicken Loans Chief Executive Officer Jay Farner. “It’s an honor to work alongside this incredible group. Our team believes in, and follows through with, a unified mission of making life radically simple for our clients through innovative technologies and world-class client service.”
This was a record year for the company, and the company’s success further validated its belief that a great working environment can drive real business results. Rocket Mortgage , which gives Quicken Loans clients the ability to receive customized mortgage solutions in a completely online experience, delivered $7 billion of Quicken Loans’ record $96 billion in total closed loan volume for 2016. In the 11 months since the launch of Rocket Mortgage after the 2016 Super Bowl, Rocket Mortgage would already be a top-30 mortgage lender in the nation all on its own.
Quicken Loans also places a heavy emphasis on client experience. In 2016, the company was named “Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Primary Mortgage Origination” in the U.S. by J.D. Power for the seventh consecutive year. Quicken Loans has also ranked in the top spot for mortgage servicing three consecutive years, according to J.D. Power.
“Every day, our team members dig deep to find new ways to challenge the status quo, whether it’s transforming the way consumers get a mortgage or rolling up their sleeves to help rebuild Detroit into one of the nation’s largest FinTech ecosystems,” said Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert. “The speed of the game continues to get faster. Our team members understand that they must channel their grit, determination and curiosity to stay ahead and execute on our mission.”
In the FORTUNE survey, Quicken Loans team members rated the company’s work atmosphere at 98% positive. Also, 97% of team members feel good about company contributions to the community.
The FORTUNE magazine survey asks employees to anonymously rate their workplace, the communication honesty and quality of managers and colleagues, and the degree of personal and professional support.
